The Center is open to all base personnel, active duty military, base employees, dependents & guests. All patrons must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid ID card.

Indoor Climbing Wall (inside Outdoor Recreation)

Please contact the Dover AFB ODR staff to set up a time to use the Rock Wall during business hours. Before using the climbing wall, sign in at the front desk. Please show your Dover Outdoor Recreation Belay safety card. Also, you must have a signed liability form on file. (All climbers must complete an Agreement to Release of Liability and Assume Risks form prior to climbing or buildering.Thoroughly wash hands prior to and after climbing).

Blue Streak Bike Shop
Our bike shop is located at Equipment Checkout and offers complete bicycle repair and maintenance services as well as a full assortment of retail services from parts & components to apparel, energy foods and sunglasses.

Eagles Nest Park  1323 Reno Street (off Perimeter Road)

 -Our newly renovated park features four covered pavilions with barbeque grills, tables, nine playground areas, and   

   volleyball and horseshoe areas.

- Pavilion areas may be reserved; otherwise, they are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

- Reservation use takes priority.

- There is no fee to use the picnic area.

- All pavilions and playground areas are handicap accessible, and include handicap accessible picnic tables.

Fam Camp 

Located on the south end of the base. The camp has 10 recreational vehicle sites with electric (30/50 amp connections), water and sewage hook-ups. Picnic tables and grills are located near each site. There is also an overflow area where we allow “dry camping” (meaning no utilities), a dump station, large dumpster and a bathhouse with flush toilets, showers and a coin operated laundry.

Just across the street you will find Eagles’ Nest Park which is equipped with several pavilions, (that can be reserved, at no cost through ODR), horseshoe pits, volleyball nets, and playgrounds that can accommodate children 2 - 12 years of age.

 

Just down the highway is the Air Mobility Command Museum. Here you will find a collection of vintage aircraft and memorabilia that reflect the history of Dover AFB and the USAF airlift mission. Admission is free and access to the museum is off route 9 to the south of the base (no entry available directly from the base). Dover area attractions include Dover Downs,

which hosts NASCAR each June and September followed by harness racing

November - March, with slot machines and dining available every day. Our FAM Camp

is just 45 minutes away from Rehoboth and Dewey Beaches, which are rated among

the top ten beaches in the US.Reservations are accepted for all 10 campsites up to 90

days in advance of the occupancy date by calling Outdoor Recreation, 302-677-3959. 

Office hours 0900-1700 Mon-Fri, plus 0800-1300 on Sat (Apr-Sept).

Closed Sundays and holidays. Payment must be made by credit card for the total

number of days reserved. No refund for cancelled reservations within 3-days of arrival.

Maximum occupancy for customers (and total reservation days) is as follows:

1 Oct thru 30 Apr, 30 days; 1 May-30 Sep, 14 days. Customers must vacate FamCamp

after each maximum stay period for 24 hours and may only return if there is at least

two spaces available – maximum stay customers may not return to the same spot

they vacated.  Cumulative maximum stay within a calendar year is 120 days.

RV Storage Lot

(Behind northeast side of Eagle Nest Park)

-  Our RV storage lot consists of 100 20-foot spaces and 100 40-foot spaces.

  -- Nothing over 40' may be stored in our lot.

  -- We are unable to offer 40' spaces to retirees/civilians due to a constant shortage

      of 40' spaces

-  Spaces are rented on a monthly, semi-annual or annual (Active Duty/Reservists only) basis.

-  Only recreational property may be stored in the lot (no commercial vehicles/items)

-  All stored property must display current registration (plates/decals/etc.)

-  An RV Dump station is located at our FamCamp - $3 fee.

Vehicle Resale Lot  

(Across the street from Dining Facility & next to basketball court)

Need to sell your Vehicle? Boat? RV? Trailer?  This is a great place to display your used vehicle/RV/etc. to prospective buyers including new Airman recently assigned to Dover AFB.  Stop by Outdoor Recreation to register your property for sale.

- Minimum: 2 weeks for $6

- Each 2 weeks is $6, Each month is $12

- Maximum: 2 months within a rolling 365 day period.

- Bring current/valid vehicle registration, DoD ID Card & Proof of Insurance

  --Vehicle must be registered in that DoD ID Card holder's name.
